Whisper to me

As you have for so long

Whisper to me

Those faint

Luminous shards

More than a glimmer

Less than a glimpse

Whisper to me...

And I shall try to listen

For

Though my ears be dull

And senses

Not wholly within

Would run away with me

Still I shall turn them

Turn them away

Away

But not without

And small success

Surely following close

Will be quick

To sense opportunity
